 ABOUT US

HIVConnect is committed to making a difference in the daily lives of HIV-positive people.

Our membership is composed of HIV-positive people and their loved ones all integrated with the healthcare community in a safe, private environment.

HIVConnect provides information in a unique way with a library of current articles from medical journals, as well as published and personal articles contributed to the library by healthcare providers, HIVConnect writers, and the members. We encourage members to post comments on articles giving them the opportunity to share their experience on any topic.

A community for the 'long term survivor'.

HIV and the medications used to treat it are both evolving. Those that have lived with HIV for a long period of time have stories and experiences that must be shared. These stories must be made available to other long term survivors, the newly diagnosed, and healthcare providers.

Healthcare providers often struggle for answers to new questions as the combination of HIV and
the medications used to treat the virus create health challenges in many individuals. As answers are found for individuals, they must be shared with the community for us to continue to learn how the virus adopts, how the medications and HIV interact in individuals, and how we can overcome these seemly unique challenges.

A resource for the newly diagnosed

Being diagnosed HIV-positive today is an experience that is much different than the experience of being diagnosed HIV-positive 20 years ago. The history and the experiences of ‘long term survivors must be shared with the new generation of HIV-positive people and the health care community.

We all know we have come a very long way. We have learned from experience how to manage this infection, how to live with the daily struggles, and how to overcome new challenges as they arise. Now, through HIVConnect we can all learn from each other's experience.

We welcome you to join our community and share your experience. Whether you are HIV-positive, an organization that supports HIV-positive people or a supportive friend or family member of an HIV-positive person, you will find friendship, support and community with HIVConnect.
